Finding
People, Sessions, and Orders
To
quickly locate a client, their sessions or orders, or a prospect, simply
open a "Modify" window (like Modify Clients) and enter the
first few letters of the person's last name into the Find Client or
Find Prospect field at the top of the window and press tab.
Doing so locates all clients or prospects whose last name begins with
the entered letters. If more than one person matches, you will be asked
to select the correct one from a list.
To avoid matching other people, enter the first few letters of the person's
last name followed by a comma and the first few letters of their first
name, then press tab. Doing so locates all clients or prospects whose
last and first names begin with the entered letters. If more than one
person matches, you will be asked to select the correct one from a list.
For example, to find a person named Danny Jones, you could enter "j,d."
To easily move to a "Find" field, you can either click the
field's name, click the leftward pointing arrow at the right side of
the field, press the Home key, or press the F5 function key. Doing so
will highlight the entire field allowing you to type over the existing
entry. Note that the field is not highlighted if the cursor was already
within the field.
Please note that "Find" fields are used only for locating
people. They do not change the currently displayed person's name.
