What Is A Ruler?

The ruler, which is located just below the toolbars, shows the margins, first line indentation, vertical separators and tab stops for the paragraph in which you are typing or the currently selected paragraphs. You can use the ruler to make changes to these settings. The ruler and its components are pictured below.
