Adding Costs To Products
If you haven't done so already, create the costs for the product.
See Adding Costs in the Costs section. Note that a single cost can be added to more than one product.
Display the product in the Add Products or Modify Products window.
See Adding Products or Modifying Products in this section.
Be sure that you are working in the correct pricing version by selecting the version from the Pricing Version pop up menu.
Click the Add button at the bottom of the Costs associated with producing this product list.
A window will appear listing all costs that are not currently in the product. The costs appear in alphabetical order grouped by supplier.
Select the costs in the list that you wish to add to the product.
To select more than one cost, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking each cost. To select all of the costs, choose Select All from the Edit menu.
Click the Add To Product button at the bottom of the Cost list window.
Success Pricing moves the costs to the product's cost list and updates the Cost To Produce This Product field. If this product is part of one or more product packages, Success Pricing will update the cost to produce the packages. This will affect the price you must charge for the packages to maintain your desired Cost of Sales. Therefore, be sure to review your product prices after changing products that are part of packages. To do so, see Pricing Products in the Product Lines section.
To change the quantity of a cost, double-click within its Quantity field and enter the value.
Success Pricing updates the Cost To Produce This Product field after you exit the Quantity field. If this product is part of one or more product packages, Success Pricing will update the cost to produce the packages based on your quantity changes. This will affect the price you must charge for the product packages to maintain your desired Cost of Sales. Therefore, be sure to review your product prices after changing products that are part of packages. To do so, see Pricing Products in the Product Lines section. Note that cost quantities can be fractions (such as 0.5 or 2.7).
