Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When I attempt to access help, a window appears stating the Macromedia Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. What should I do?

A. This is caused by security enhancements made to Macromedia Flash Player which is used to display SuccessWare's help guides. It no longer occurs in SuccessWare version 4.3.7 and later. If you have access to version 4.3 or later, download and install the latest version of SuccessWare to which you have access. Otherwise, continue with the steps given below.

The window shown below is asking if you want to allow the SuccessWare guides to be opened by the player. Here's how you tell it to allow you to see the guides:

1) Click Settings. A web page with the box shown below will appear.

2) Click the Edit locations pop up menu and choose Add location.

3) Select the text in the file path box under the Tip from the beginning through "Guides\" on Windows or "Guides/" on Macintosh (as shown below for Macintosh). On Windows the file path will probably start with "C:\Program Files\".

4) Copy the selected text by pressing Ctrl-C on Windows or Command-C on Macintosh.

5) Paste the text into the field under "Trust this location".

6) Click Confirm.

7) Quit your browser and try accessing SuccessWare help again.
