Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When I run SuccessWare on a Windows computer, it opens for a couple of seconds and then just disappears. What's wrong?

A. If you are running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or any Windows operating system released after XP SP2, there's a good chance that SuccessWare is being blocked by Window's Data Execution Prevention mechanism. To allow SuccessWare to run properly, simply do the following.

1) Left click Start.

2) Right click My Computer.

3) Left click Properties.

4) Left click on the Advanced tab.

5) Left click the Settings button in the Performance area.

6) Left click on the Data Execution Prevention tab.

7) If the SuccessWare application (SuccessWare, SuccessWare Server, or SuccessWare Client) you are trying to run is in the list, do the following. Otherwise, skip to step 8.

a) Uncheck the SuccessWare application in the list.

b) Click Apply.

c) Re-check the SuccessWare application.

d) Click Apply.

e) Click OK twice and you're done.

8) If the SuccessWare application does not appear in the list, do the following.

a) Click Add.

b) Use the window that appears to open the SuccessWare application file. Depending on which SuccessWare application you are running, the file will be in the SuccessW, SuccessWare_Server, or SuccessWare X.X Tour folder which will be located in the Program Files folder unless you changed its location during installation.

c) Click Apply.

d) Click OK twice and you're done.
